The Public Defenders Association of Iowa is a non-profit corporation comprised of public defense attorneys and their support staff throughout the State of Iowa. The Public Defenders Association of Iowa promotes high quality indigent defense, provides an annual statewide continuing legal education seminar each June, promotes fairness in the criminal justice system and strives to increase public awareness of criminal justice issues.
The annual seminar is dedicated to furthering the professional development of the defense bar by offering wide variety of topics to its attendees.
It is anticipated the Iowa Supreme Court Commission on Continuing Legal Education has pending approval for the 2018 Public Defender Criminal Law Seminar for the following continuing legal education credit:
